After t he smoke bomb t he riders we n t
u p o ne side of a m ount ain, d own t he
other side a nd then st ar ted it. gradual
climb u p a sa n dy road wh ich too k its
t oll o f riders who didn 't je t th eir bikes
p ro p e rly. J ohn Bur rows (Pen) seized a
numbe r of times o n this road but st ill
we n t on to w in his class.
The small bores h ad th ei r wo rk cut
o ut fo r them as th e sa nd would sap
m ost of their power, but Way n e Hatch
(Hon) kept it WFO and wo n th at class
handily.

awarded as t he Novices left five mi n utes
afte r th e Amate ur-Experts a nd 1 reg ret
that I don ' t have a p ic tu re of th ese
trop h ies with this rep ort , as th ey wer e
