Anchorage riders Kevin Goard (!>Iai) and Jerry :' Iucha (Bul) were tied for first t but it was Bruce Lockwood, after DK Fing a nd a third spot, who gated first and led through the trees in a flash of all-or-nothing motocross. Apparently no one had told Bruce his stone stock CZ was giving away too much performance to the long-travel opposition, as he virtually rode the handlebars for the full 20 minutes, pulling off incredible saves seemingly every minute of every lap. Mucha and Goard duked it out for second, with the nod going to Mucha for second and the overall.
