Pat Wilson grabbed the lead in the first mota with Dave Robison (Suz) push in g. Dan Geery banged in to Robiso n in o ne turn and broke Dave's brake rod. Pat Wilso n and Dan Geery took advantage of this as they had their Hondas wound out going around most of the tr ack, They were way ahead of th ird pl ace man J im Lenenski (Hon). Geery ma de his move on Wilson several ti mes but he never quite go t by . On the last lap Ge ery sho t by, but just as quic kly , he crashed. Geery was able to get up and st ill fin ish second. " Dan was right ; he pul led the per fect hol e sh ot and darte d out front t o an immed ia te lead.
