The

switch to a ne w T.T. course for a few
wee ks. Then we will go to the half-m ile
for a few weeks, prob ab ly ar ound th e
e nd o f Mar ch. La te r it will be back to
the qu arter-mil e, etc., rotating the three
types o f tr ac ks t h rough o ut th e season.
The ide a of the p ro gram is to give
ne w riders a pl ac e to learn a nd fo r riders
and parents bothto findout if th eir son

As much as possib le . we try to give all
ride rs at leas t t wo rides pe r n igh t an d
always m o re th an enough p ra ctic e.
Presently th e rac es are be ing run
every Fri day nigh t. St arting in April the

the week as the professional half-milers

.
We have re ad m an y times ab o u t the
de sire of p arents to train their young
ones in the art of racing. Ascot offers
the be st training track and courses in
the country wi th safety the key
password.
The Mini class a wa rd s five trophies
ea ch ni ght, pl us Ascot season points.
The 125 clas s a wa rds trophies t o th e
first th ree, plus Asc ot points. Both
clas ses will also receive contingency
awards at the en d o f the seaso n .
The requirements are simple. An
AMA m embership card , th at can be
ob tai ned a t the sign-in gate, an assigned
number and number pl ates (t hat can
also be obtai ned a t the track) and an
ap p rove d helmet. That takes ca re of
99% of the re quire m en ts.
The program is se t up to create
different winners every week. We want
to give every rid er a chance at learning
a nd winnin g. We are not baby-sitters but
will watch and te ach on a weekly basis
from six p .m. to 10 p .m. one nigh t a
week from now until No vember.
We gu arantee that y o u and yo u r so n
o r daughter will find out if yo u have a
racer in the family or not. Win o r lose it
will be fu n from st art to fin ish .
Again, we
want to build th e
Min i-Cycle class (8 0cc top) and the
125cc class.
If y o u r so n or daugh te r has ye t to
ride the ir first race then bring them
down to Ascot as th ey can joi n, sign in
and receive at least 30-50 p ra ctice laps
each week without h avin g to ac tually
co m pe te in th e heats, se m is and finals.
Whe n you think they are ready we 11 p u t
