rl very large reduction in unspru ng w eigh t thro ugh elimination of the fo rk springs, b ut
then the extreme air pressure blow s out the seals when th e fo rks co mpress pas t a
certain po int, or bottom-o ut. J o nes has solved that problem with th e use of a trick
sealing oil developed fo r use in b ulldozers, alo ng with a half- spring mounted internally
to the to p of th e fo rk tub e, w here it is spru ng weight. Th e tub e between the fo rk caps
pro vides perfect balan cing of both air and oil - tests starting with all the oil in one
fork leg ended with the oil quantity in each leg equal after two o r th ree strokes of the
f ork. The sealing oil is available in 54.95 pint sizes and 5360 drums under the name of
"L iqu id -Odiing, .. at better bulldoz er stores everywhere.
