To do it , Coach Henry su ccessfull y "sold" the idea to several differing group s. The school administrati on bought it be cause the co u rse stresses skill and safe ty. Community mo to rcy cl e dealers are supp o rt ing the program , donating two Montesa Cotas (a 125 and a 250) and two Yamahas (a TY250 and a TY 80 ). Finally the lo cal chapter of P.I.T .S. and t he school 's "Spokebenders" mo to rcy cle club have pitched in with the grun t labor t o scra tc h-b uild an artificial trials co urse behind the footbal l field With logs, rocks, several lo ad s o f dirt and a mudh ole in pl ace, the school is now in the pro cess of creati ng a 90·foot artificial creek be d , co mplete with cree k bed ro ck s and optional running water. With all studen ts riding under wri tten par en tal co nsen t and adheri ng to rigid departmental safety rules , it appears th at Gunn High h as its new Ph ys.
