The Italian ISOT, as does every ISOT,
belon gs to each and every ri de r , each
and every support te am member and to
eac h and every motorcycli st. Th at so
few a t tend the a n n ual event is, in the
words of Hu sk y's J ack Lehto , " a
disap po in t me n t to th ose who wo r k so
hard to represent th eir nation." T ha t th e
American co n tingent was as large as an y
nation 's, including the home co untry 's,
was an en couragement to o u r riders.
The main thing that stands in th e way
of o u r riders ' success is all in th e mind.
A man 's a tti tud e in th e six days rid ing is
as paramount as skill . Three things make
a good ISOT rider - determinati o n, skill
an d experience.
Our te am members cer ta inly have the
determination and skill necessary for a
six days victory and we now hav e th e
exp erience. O Uf Va se team victory in
'7 3 o n o u r ho m e soi l proves Americans
can win. The fo urth pl ace performances
by both te ams in '74 proves th at we are
co nsisten t . 1975 sh ould be in teresting.
