mechanical fa ilures that befell Do n Vesco's streamliner. Vesco sped to o ver 251 MPli
one way. but a part on one of his tw o Yamaha 700c c, four-cylinder eng in es broke. lie
sawed t he crankshaft in half and att empt ed to break the record using six cylinders, but
on th e first pass th e connec t ion between the engi nes failed. and h e was fo rce d to make
his back -up run on th e f our cy linde rs of th e front engine only. It was not fast en ough
fo r a new record.

175 MPH. New mark by Campos is 231.597 MPH.
Scott Gut hrie of Tallahassee broke four world records with this 1200cc H-D, all
on pump gasoline . Fast est is 15 2.00 2 MPH in the NA/G class. See the full
