In May there was a wee kend th at typified this ; five enduros he ld o n one weekend, w ith a long interval until th e n ext o ne . Not only would sp acing the runs out so there was less of a n in te rval be t wee n them be good for the rider. it would also be very good for th e cl ub s, allowing more riders to attend their run. Also. to the an ti-enduro man who wr ote in saying th at enduros wer e as ex citing as watchin g 9 0 year o ld people ma ke love, yo u o ugh t to tr y it before yo u st art bad-mouth in g it. The main thing is that the race was n ot co ve red by insurance! Two riders were injured, one requiring a plastic su rgeon. l\IcGiIl ·Durbin Pro m o t ions re fuses to pay their medical bills. The riders involved are in th e process of filing suit agains t them. Now to the point. One dollar m ay be insignifi cant t o some, but that isn 't the idea. This outfit has been extremely un co operat ive about the whole thing. They did not a ns wer a letter I wr o te th em inquiring a bou t the insuran ce coverage. as I had two so ns racing that d ay. I have the proof th at sh o ws th er e was no co verage tha t d a y. If I didn't I certai n ly would n ot be writing th is letter. Do you wan t to b a c k up some fe llow riders as, if yo u were in t he ir place, you would a p p recia te? Just write McGiIl·Durbin Pr omotions, Box 1302 7.
