BiUy Uhl and the Can-Am . . . the toughest
International Six Days Trial combination that
North America has to offer.
Take their record in America 's ISDT Qualifying
Series as proof. Billy finished the six event series as
175cc class Champion, proving the consistency of
the Can-Am's performance by being the ONLY
rider in the entire series to gain six Go ld Medals
from the six events! That's some 2500 of the most
rugged cross-country miles imaginable . . . and
never a mark lost for being behind sched ule!
T hree riders share the individual high-point titl e
in the series but Billy Uhl and the Can-Am far
o ut-strip the other two in terms of index of
performance as their scores were achieved on
bigger class 250 and 400cc machines.
The Can-Am, in fact, was the smal lest machine
in the series t o win an y o f th e gruelling 400 mile,
two-day eve nts overall.
Billy took his Can-Am to t he overall win at
Picayune, Mississippi, in a water-logged eve nt t ha t
knocked out all but 26 o f the 125 star te rs an d
then, to add e mp has is to the Can -Am 's ca pa bilit ies,
won aga in in th e se ries ' final event, th e Bad Rock
Trial in Oregon 's m ountains.
Billy and his Ca n-A m have proven th emselves in
the U.S. Qualify ing Series. It should be an interesting I.S.D.T.
