Steve was taken to the hosp ital for examination. Mark Ch erry had sim il ar p ro b lem s, how ever , the re is no d oub t th a t he suffere d a broken ha nd an d will be o ut fo r a few weeks . Perhaps th at acco un ts for th e jerk in the stands wh o do use d Mike Bast with a beer as he was be ing push ed off in his first race of th e n igh t. Mike did n o t lose his cool - but turned b ack to the p its to get d ried off. He was so wet th at he co uld n o t keep his foot on th e pe g or see through hi s eye shield. Mike ro de his way into both main events, going on to win the Scratch Main Event. giving him the bil( money in that event all three nights t his we ek. Larry Shaw.
