and fini sh ed th ird in th e 125 class j us t
b eh ind J oe Barker an d Tom Penton and
ahead o f Paul Danik . He also w o n a
Gol d in th e Sh am rock run, a 'Gold in
last- year's Tr ask event; an Overal l wi n
in a local en d ur o. Not too sh ab by for a
kid wh o 's been riding less than tw o
years and un til one year ago was riding a
step-th ro ugh Ho nda! He com es fro m a
farm in Oregon , which I u nd erstand, is
ve ry mu c h li k e the f arms in
Czechoslovakia.
This event can be bes t summed up by
Don Stover who sai d , "This is th e best
ride I h ave been on since last year at th is
ti me. Co me to thin k of it , th at was th e
Trask too !" And he was ab le to say that
in spite of losi ng a ten dollar s bet to Ben
Bower wh o beat hi m in th e special test.
