Flying mud, slick track, a steady drizzle, chilly temperatures, huge berms and a streaker. Yes, I said streaker. A male, probably between the age of twenty to twenty five (from what I co uld see) clad in boots jogged across to the m iddle of the track, d id a little dancing, jogged back to his car and that was that. He later came down to the tower to give his name to Carl Steinback OUf announcer, followed by several minibike riders. Someone came up with a trophy for the streaker. This must have been a first for most of the . spectators from the reactions I saw. Most thought it very funny . . Modified Minibike Expert action was fast. First mota Shawn Steinback (Hon) was in front all thc way with Loren Erickson (Hon) playing catch up. Gre\l Proden (Chap) and Tony Blanton (Yam) fought it out for third and fourth place. Second time around Erickson cam e across the finish line first with Proden, Blanton and Steinback behind. Th ird mota was the same. Overall wcnt to Erickson followed by Proden, Steinback and Blan ton. . Randy Binder (Yam) in thc 100 class had a little trouble in thc second mota but came up with a first in mota one and three to take first overall. Kelly Wirt z (Hon) was second, with third going to Rustin Gore (Yam) who found himself on the ground three times in moro two. Winners of thc !'Y0 125 Junior classes we re Rocky Osborne (Hon) and Edd Price (Hon). 12 5 Expert rider David Anderson (Hon) led all three motos from start to finish. Philip Randall (Hon) and Mike Proden (Hon) had a close battle fo r second and third. Chet Campbell (Pen) made a clean sweep in the 200 class winning all th ree motos. Gary Leavitt (Pen) took second and challenged Campbell for the next race. Dale Edwards (Man) had no trouble taking first in the 250 Junior class. Skeet Hisc (Mon) did some fine riding to win the 250 Expert class. Tim The Nor. Cal Minibike Club held the third motocross of a four race series Sunday, March l Oth.
