The small bo re race was won by
Junior Skip Ru e ter aboard a 125
Honda. Senior Greg Oesch (Han) led
most of the way but could n 't hold it the
full 45 min utes. Ru e ter was followed in
by Dave Zahrt (BuI) and Cliff Breck
(Han) also Junior, so that sturdy bunch
really made a showing loday.
Gotta give a hand to two hustling
Mini riders also. Don Simington (Han)
and Bill Carter (Yam). These guys cam e
to race, and did, in the small bore event.
If anything keeps these Iwo from
success it sure won 't be lack of guts. •

side-hack teams out 10 make up the
third race, All 250 and 500 strokers
took off firsL Ken Zahrt was entered on
a 350 Bultaco but didn't finish, Von
Peterson (CZ) led the whole bunch
around, winning it hands down and
taking the 250 Senior victory. Mark
Co ok (Bul) and Jeff Browning (Man)
got second and third in their class.
Intermediate Ken Parry (500 CZ) and
Junio r Greg Parry (500 CZ) came in 2·3
righ t behind Peterson in a fine ride to
win their class.
