BLM representatives are seying thet this is not true, and thet enduros could be run unrestricted on four courses, and restricted to existing roads and trails in other areas. leaving a wi,de choice of enduros possible. However, now we find out that gpad 01' Laland hes backed down in the face of h8IIVY public opposition and has given up his mandatory helmet law quest. So now, all you have to do is visit or cell your citY hall or councilman and tell him how you feel a b.o ut cities trying to pass mandatory helmet laws, just to make sure they know how you feel in ce. they want to try it. Send us the name of who you talked to, and a brief summary of how they reacted to your contacting them...were they friendly, meen, busy, turkey, receptive. rejective, etc? If no one will talk to you, find out who will not talk to you and why not. Or find out who says you can't talk to anyone. Wheter you do., send it in postmarked October 2, 1973. Decide whether you like this plan or IIOt, and how it would affeet you. ;rhen write to one of the officials listed on PlIIJ8 41 and tell them how you feel about the plan itself, or, if the plan will not affect you, about how you feel about land dosure in general. Voyer Family Team is tied with the Flanders Team, with every other team in th'e forty-eight entry team classlagging behind with points rangiQg from one accumulated by the D. , Donald Dix Team for being early to check two, and the Virgil Van Dem Abeilene Team with eighty six points for being eight days late at check one, and writing obscenities on his entry. This is a family enduro, ya know...J mean, REALLY, now, what nerve! My momma reads Cycle News, too, you cad. There, oughtta be a law! Mike Navetto is well on his way to winning the 250 Beginners, Under 19, Over Weight class. The only trouble is, Mike 01'. buddy, there is no such class, Richard Cording is the only Under 16. class entry to maintain a zero so far, and will soon be famous if he keeps on time all the way. Hang in there, enduro freaks. YOU MAY BECOME FAMOUS. .
