Team members (left to right) Dick Burleson (175 Husky), Ed Schmidt (504 Husky), Ron Bohn (350 Husky) and Malcom Smith (250 Husky) have been preparing for the event under the supervision of Rolf Tibblin and Team manager Jack Lehto at the Husqvarna training eenter in California. The team memban are all previous medalists in Six Days competition'and gathered 14110ld medals in the Six Days Qualifien held earlier this year. The U.S. International Silver Vase B Team will consist of Tom Clark (175 Puch), Don Stover (500 Husky), Lane Leavitt (350 Bulteco) and Jim Hollander riding a Penton-KTM 125. The U.S. entries will be in competition against 23 other teams from 14 nations with each attempting to win the prestigious International Silver Vase by turning in the best overall performance by a National team. ISDT AWARDS THE WORLD TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY Of THE flM Awarded for the best performance by a National team of six riders nominated by f'ederalionS" affiliated to the fiM. the six machines in a team must include at least two different capacity classes. The motorcycles m~y be of any country or manufacture. THE INTERNATIONAL SILVER VASE Awarded for the best performance by a National team of four riders nominated by Federations affiliated to the FlM, the four machines in a lum must be of the same capacity class. Federations may nominate not more than twO teams, THE WATLING TROPHY Awarded at the discretion of the Intematiohal Jury to the National team, other than the winners of the World Team Championship Trophy or International Silver Vase, to th~ team with the most meritorious performance. THE CLUB TEAM DIPLOMA The FIM diploma will be awarded to bona fide Club teams whose three riders win gold medals, Teams shall consist of at least two different makes of machine, A rider may not be a m~mber of more than one Club, team nor are riders nominated for "Trophy", "Vase:" or Manufacturer's team eligible. THE-MANUfACTURER'S TEAM AWARD A gold m~dal of the FIM awarded to each rider' in a leam of three ente~d by a manufacturer (or agent with the manufacturer's consent) who loses no penalty marks during the Trial. Machines must be of the same make. bearing the same name. Individual Awards GOLD MEDAL Of THE flM Awarded to all ridcrs complcting the LTial with 0 penalty marks and a number of evaJuation points not exceeding' 30% of the number achieved by the riders making the best performance of the same capacity class. SILVER MEDAL Of THE flM Awarded to aJl riders completing the trial with a loss of marks not exceeding 25 and a number of evaluarion points not exceeding 50 per cent of the number achieved by the rider maJc.,ing the best perfonnance of the same capacity class. BRONZE MEDAL Of THE flM Aw~~ed to all other riders completing the trial within the prescribed time,
