FIELD RESULTS: Road racing and Motocross compc;tition proved Me-. to be the most rcliabre two-cydc lubricant available. Maximum performance was attained with a 40: 1 ratio. Following a keynote address of "Motorcycles as Accident Producers," experts presented studies ranging from horrifying statistics and crash testing to promises of rider education and practical safety developments. The motorcycle industry presented both useful safety developments and strange appearing new te·chnical manifestatIons. Top executives represented U.S., Spanish, German, B ri tish. and Japanese motorcycle factories. A Honda film on collision avoidance supported Hurt's conclusion that more rider training is needed.
