ADELANTO, CAL., Nov. 19, 1972
395 was invaded by out-of-towners
today. Traveling hot shoes 40 some odd
in number all the way from Nevada,
Arizona and all parts of California came
to give the local boys some competition.
I-IRA newcomer John Erickson
(Kaw) went home with the prize in the
100 rr. Chris Morland (Kaw) took
second. In the Half-mile it was Bob
I-Iuffman (Kaw) first after a battle with
Jonnie Seller (Yam) and Toby Sweaney
(Kaw).
In the 125 Novice it was another
newcomer Brent Knaver (Yam) who ran
off with the gold in both races. Curt
I-Joining (Yam) took second 'in the
Half-mile with Gary Roderick (Yam)
grabbing it in the TI.
Brent Knave, (Oss) came back again
in the 250 Novice 1'1' to grab another
win. The Half-mile was another story
with Chris Morland (Bul) off the line
first and all the way home with no
sweat. The hi-lite of the race was
Edward Selland (Bul) grabbing his very
first trophy with third place. Ed is
stationed at George's Air l'orce Base
and is shipping out this week. If you
gotla go, you golta go, but it was a great
way to finish up lhe season.
The Open Novice Tr _saw Jeff
Zwaster (Tri) off the line with Thomas
Howe (BSA) giving him a run for his
money on another one of those yin tage
Cold Star jobbers. Greg Reynolds (Suz)
copped the win in the Half-mile
The Expert class was out in full
force. In the 125 it was Vince Mead
(Kaw) all 'the way in both races to take
the daily double. Steve Sisco (Kaw) our
eleven year old, recently turned Expert
fought his way up thru the pack with a

most irnprcss, ive ride for a hard earned
fourth.
The 250 Experts put on quite a
show, with Torn Worfolk (Yam)
cranking it on to take first in the TI.
Earl Roloff (Yam) pushed him hard but
had to settle for second. Not so in the
Half-mile, though, as Earl had this one
all to himself.

. Togetherness is not next to winningness.
Cary Wells (Bul) had his Bul tamed
in the Open Experts and Whe~,lied
himself all the way horne first in both
races. Gary makes it look so easy as he
rides most of the race unicycle style.
Cary Davis (BSA) took second in both
races.
November 26 is the last HRA point
.race of the season.
