They changed positions at least fo.ur times during the last one and a half laps. When they came to the finish line, Bast took it. It was super racing by both of them! Mike Curoso came up third, fourth to Ron Taylor, fifth to Don Cullum, with Bruce Haserot falling. In the Scratch Consolation, Steve Bast won it with some ease, but Guy Waterson was getting pretty close toward the end. Third and fourth places went to Bill Manley and Don Cullum, respectively. Mike Bast won the Scratch Main event quite easily. Mike Curoso and Larry Shaw fought it out for second with Curoso winning. Fourth place went to jim Gresham.
