Pridmore wh.o won with a very
comfortable lead. The 500 production
class wen t to Dick Lewis on his Honda
with Jim Dickensen in Second,

very talented and versatile racer as he
brought h.is Norton powered sidecar in
first in' the sidecar race. Also entered in
the . sidecar race was a Volkswagen

was going to do that."
In the 250 Junior GP even Wes
Cooley Junior put out a very

Disappoin tmen t of the day was
awarded to John Crossman in the 350
Junior GP event. When the flag fell·ne
got away dead last, but then got
cooking and put on a turn of spe.ed that
very quickly brought him through the
pack and into the lead. Once there he
just continued to rush away, and there
was nothing that anyone could do about
it. But Lady Luck did, and as he went
in to the last lap Crossman's gear box
was stricken. Suddenly he found that he
couidn't keep it in any of the top three
gears. So, with over two miles to go,
Crossman had to finish in second gear.
He almost made it, but in the last-turn
the very fast Honda of Dave Racine
came by him.
Dick Fuller did his usual and won the
350 production class ahead of Dale
McCreary.
Howard Lynggard won the 125
