LOOKF GARY JO ES A JI MY ERT INTH OTO-C 055DES ATIO S~ / / The Mota-cross I des Nations is the "Olympics" of motocross racing, an annual event to be held Sept. 17/in Norg, Holland under the rnternational governing authority of the Federation I nternationale Motocycliste. Each country that is allowed to compete in th is international event may enter one team consisting of its four best riders, selected by -the national Federation Motocycliste Nationales. Yamaha I nternational Corporation has the honor of annou~cing_ that two. members of the Yamaha Factory Racing Team, Gary Jones and Jim Weinert, have been invited by the American Motorcycle Association to represent the United States in this world motocross event. This is the first time an American Team has been entered, and the first time Gary Jones and Jimmy Weinert will race their Yamaha 360 MXs against Europe's finest riders. Yamaha would like to express its appreciation to the Federation I nternationale Motocycliste and the American Motorcycle Association for this privilege. And we'd like to congratulate the entire United States Team, Gary Jones, Jim Weinert, Brad Lackey and Jim Pomeroy, for their outstanding motocross achievements. • The great machines for '72 c.
