Micheal Loquidice (Yam) was first in
this go and the first Open finisher was
Harold Finkelstein on a 350 Honda.
Patti Ho won the Powder Puff go on
a 250 Husky, followed by Joyce Harris
and. Ronda Mullin. Patti is a very fast
lady. John Wilson took full advantage of
his extra 100cc of displacement to heat
the minis out to the hill and back. (Most
of the other mini-finishers were on Yam
60s.)
A smallish s,ign-up for the Novice
classes resulted in the CRC putting ,all of
them in the last race of the day. 1t may
take a while to sort out the scoring from
100cc up to Open, but R.L. Gustason
was first across the_ line on a 360
Husqvarna.

ADELANTO, CAL., Sept. 10, 1972 The California Racing Club seems to be
favored with good luck, g,ood turnouts
and good .peop Ie. They've turned their
sponsoring hand to just abou t every
type
of sporstman event going:
motocross, Hillclimb, Trials and how
they're venturing out into the Mojave.
The size limits of the public land north
of Adelanto, Cal. have been met.
There's no room to expand desert
courses without possibly going onto
private land but the CRC still managed
to layout a course that, if not fresh,
managed to allow the Beginners to
finish. and provide the fast guys with
challenge.
A little over 300 would-be J.N.'s
(including a fair sized PP class and the
minis) turned out to do battle in four
separate 45-minute bouts with the sand
and rocks for 4.0% trophies. The
ligh tweight beginners got off at nine aI:,d
