Nobody believe it so a pu t sweepstakes-grudge race was together at the end of the day with Limbeck's sponsor PowerolJ Performance putting up ten dollars to the winner. Limbeck and Honda lined up with beginner class winner DKW mounted Mike Bolin and several 250's lined up about 50 feet back with three open bikes about ten feet behind. This was to be a 5 lap race. The handicap seemed about right as all bikes went into the corner at the same time with Limbeck emerging first followed by Bolin. A 400 Husky mounted Mike Ahalt soon passed to have a try at the Honda only to watch Limbeck fade away in the distance. Now people believe that Honda is fast and have been reassured that Limbeck is also very fast. Gary Heater of Eugene, Ore., took home a fourth place trophy in the 250 class riding a Maico. This young lad surprised many of the local riders because three weeks ago they could just about lap him and Sunday they couldn't catch him.
