Routt put a beautiful hole shot on Marv and trounched him with a 10,63 for the win. Larry Welch's turn next as he had to face California ace, Joe Smith, for the big one in Top Fuel. When the light went green, Welch dropped the hammer on 110 inches of nasty and blasted off the line. Smith's big H-D bogged and broke 40 feet out and Larry motored on down for a 9.65 easy victory.
