SADDLEBACK PARK, CALIF., April
25, 1971 - With $150.00 up for
winners, ACA Seniors go all out. A large
turnout showed some fine racing, with
three 20·minute motos for all.
The 250 Intermediate and Senior and
the 500 Intermediate and Senior classes
riding all together put on a dazzling
show for the spectators. 500 Senior Ron
Bunn (CZ), 250 Senior Jim Hoover (CZ)
and 250 Intermediate Richard Eierstedt
(Bul) did some outstanding bike riding.
In the first moto, Bunn jumped to
the lead all the way, with Hoover and
Eierstedt battling for second. Eierstedt
bardy took it.
Hoover led half the second moto with
Bunn and Eierstedt right behind, but
fell on a downhill and Bunn hit him,
allowing Eierstedt to take the lead. On
this same lap, Eierstedt rearranged some
track markers and Bunn grabbed the
win.
The third moto was dominated by
Jim Hoover with Eierstedt pushing all
the way. Bunn was off the line last but
did some excellen t riding and ended
with third place. All three riders won
their divisions.
Don Emler smo ked th e 125 Seniors
on his Rickman. His only trouble came
Junior Barry Porter (Bull. 250 Junior
Gary Cochell (Bul), and 500 Junior
