INDOOR FINALE GOING TO WIRE OVERALL POINT LEADERS 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. By Bill Spencer North ern California mO'torcycle dealers are slowly getting the message about their business. The sport of motorcycling is coming under a~ack in many areas and the time to unite anp figh t is happening. . After three stright Monday nights of trying to get dealers from Santa Clara County and the surrounding counties, Ed Brooks, a San Jose dealer, managed a slim 30% representation and kicked off proceedings towards an organized effort to combat anti-motorcycle legislation and an effort to acquire land for the rider. While the formation of the Motorcycle Industry Council was paramount in the minds of the dealers, on the national level, it was felt that an organization on the regional level was mandatory and needed immediately. The MIC will set itself up in the near future and when it is ready, the Northern California Motorcycle Association (NCMA), will be ready to sign up as an affiliate. The policies of the new assocIatIOn will include an involvement in politics, organizing the voter, acquisition of land and improving the conditions of the motorcyclist. A temporary slate of officers were elected and Ed Brooks was unanimously elected President. Jim Baird, Bultaco-American will handle duties as Vice-President and Barbara Taylor, Bultaco of Fremont will take on the chores of Secretary{freasurer. These people will serve for a period of 90 days or until another election is held. 250 Jr. 250 Ex 100 Jr. 125 Nov 200 Jr. 250 Ex 100 Jr. 200 Nov 200 Nov 125 Nov 'llEIERC'BlE' Sole U.S. Distributor Prices and information on request Orangevale Distributors 9198 Greenback Lane Orangevale.
