IIIMY OWN RACE:
me it's cool to be able to go wire to wire
like that with the red plate holder. It's cool
to be able to run with him. We laid it all
out there for sure."
94 KEN ROCZEN
5-10 450SX
Ken Roczen was running as high as fourth
in Sunday's 450SX main before slipping
all the way back to 10th and ge ng
lapped by the leaders twice. His tle
hopes appear to be fading fast. "These
past two races obviously haven't been the
results that we needed to be in the fight,"
Roczen said following Sunday's race. "That
doesn't mean that we aren't s ll trying.
Some mes you're dealt a hand of cards
that are completely out of your control,
but we're trying to make the smartest and
quickest decisions to get through some of
the health issues that keep coming up."
16 ZACH OSBORNE
3-4 450SX
"My main event ride was really good—I
maybe let a win slip away, but in the end
it's a good building block," said Zach Os-
borne (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) a er
Wednesday's near win. "I felt good all day,
the team vibe was unreal, and we had a
really good, fun me today," Osborne said.
"To get all three of the bikes inside the
top six was incredible. I'm really proud of
what I accomplished and what the team
accomplished tonight." Teammates Jason
Anderson and Dean Wilson finished fourth
and sixth, respec vely.

Briefly...
Cooper Webb (1) captured his second
win of the championship Wednesday
night after passing early leader
Zach Osborne and then holding off
a threatening Tomac at the end of
the race. On Sunday, he and Tomac
battled hard in what he said was "...the
race for the ages." And he was right.
The two traded lead positions twice
while zig-zagging their way through
heavy lapped traffic. "We ran into so
many lappers, 20 times for him, 20
times for me, we could've blamed a
lapper [for holding up their progress],"
Webb said. "I was hoping for last-lap
magic, [it] didn't happen."
and health in the quest to earn a fac-
tory ride in the 450SX class for 2022.
By remaining in the class, Martin can
honor the second year of the two-year
Geico Honda extension signed prior
to this season, as opposed to moving
to a more competitive class without a
chance at top equipment.
BACK IN ACTION
Broc Tickle (JGRMX/Yoshimura Fac-
tory Suzuki) returned to action Sun-
day. The previous Sunday, Tickle,
who was returning from a broken
hand, suffered a broken finger to his
opposite hand when he fell during
morning practice. Tickle squeaked
into the 450SX main event by win-
ning the Last Chance qualifier. He
went on to finish 17th in the final.
WEATHER RELATED
Rain forced the modification to the
morning's practice schedule on
Sunday. The riders were allowed just
one timed qualified session prior to
the afternoon's main show. Eli Tomac
was the top qualifier in the 450SX
class and Chase Sexton in the
250SX East division.
