Promoter Bob Dresslar separated the 253 riders into 19 different divisions and ran off 51 races between 10 a.m. and 4:30. The track was excellent and everyone seemed to enjoy the day except two riders ,practicing starts who managed a head-on collision at about 20 m.p.h. Fortunately, no terribly serious injuries resulted. A decision by the County Board of Supervisors to keep the track open was made public on Nov. 9th and we won by 5 to O.
