. LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - Inter-Am motocross comes here this weekend, with a
Friday night event scheduled for Ascot Park and a Sunday afternoon race set for Bay
Mare.
The world's top riders, including Ake Jonsson, Sylvain Geboers, Arne Kring,
Roger DeCoster and Bengt Aberg will be on hand to do battle with such American
greats as John DeSoto, Bob Grossi and Jim West.
The B,ay Mare affair is billed as the biggest on the circuit and will be covered by
ABC's Wide World of Sports.
Racing begins at 8 p.m. at Ascot. The Gardena facility is located on Vermont
Ave., near the intersection of the San Diego and Harbor Freeway.
Bay Mare is located near Moorpark and can be reached by taking the Ventura
Freeway north to the Fillmore Freeway and following the signs off to the left at the
end of the freeway.
