MARYSVILLE, CALIF., Sept. 5, 1970 Kurt Jorgenson on his 'trusty' Yamaha wailed at Triple 'M' tonight like one wouldn't believe. In the 250 Novice heat, he placed lust and repeated some of the same action in the Main. He fell, dropping to the back of the pack; then he flew, literal1y! Passing cyclists like they were standing still; then wham checkered flag for first. Also with some more fantastic maneuvering he managed to score again in the 'Super Main'. The Super Main consisting of all classes, and all size machines is always an exciting race and tonight was no exception. It was a 25-lap event, with no mishaps and plenty of action. The lust three riders, Jorgenson, Chuck Goodrich and Joe Carando sure put on a show. It was close all the way; but Jorgenson took it. Goodrich, placing 2nd, rode extremely well, as he too, is a novice and rides a 125cc Sachs. Goodrich also placed first in his 125cc Novice class showing some really great riding ability. Managing to hold the third in the Super Main was Joe Carando, a rider from the 200cc Novice class who mounts a Bultaco. He, too, placed first in his division tonight. Placing fourth in the Super Main was Allan Jensen, a 250 Novice rider, on a Yamaba. There wasn't much competition in the 100/125/200 Amateur, but Larry Fry (Kaw) and Bultaco rid-er Dan Hack (lust time at Triple :M'), sure had a tight race. Although Fry took lust, he really had to ride hard because Hack was riding him all the way. Placing in two events is another novice rider, Wayne Young of Beale Air Force Base. Young placed third in the 100cc class and second in the Open Novice class. He rides a Honda in both classes. (Results on page 24) MAVRICK DOES IT AGAIN Take advanlale of the best buy of the year.
