I RAYMOND · .EPEATS R AT TROJAN By Eddie Smith SOUTH GATE, CALIF , May 18, 1970 Jimmy Raymond wIlo was the big winner at Trojan Speedway last week did a repeat Thursday night. He won four out of the five trophy dashes and then won three Main Events. Riding a Kawasald, Raym ond won the 100 TT trophy dash. But, in the 125 TT trophy dash Jim lost the race to Steve Goldberg wIlo was mounted on a Hodaka. In the 250 TT trophy dash Jim Raymond was the winner again on an AJS. Raymond also won the 100 flat track trophy dash and the 250 flat track dash. Mark Revels was the winner in the 100 TT Main Event on his Kawasaki, Tak1ng second was Jack Settle .while Stev e Nutter placed third. TaIdng the checkered fla g in the 125' TT Main was Kawasald mounted Jim Ray mond. Bob Baker placed second on his Yamaha with Ralph Mullhul1and putting his Yamaha third. . , Arizona , In the 250 TT Main Event Raymond . again was the winner. Irwin MoonPlaced second and Bob Byers was third. The 100-125 combined flat track Main Event was won by Bob Sanders wIlo edged out Raymond by a few inches for the vi ctory. Placing third was John Sperry. . It was J im Raymond again in the 250 flat track Main with Irwin Moon tak1ng second. Jim Mill er was third with Ray Wunno fourth. At the start of the 250 flat track Phil Moon hit a downed bike in turn four and lost control. P hil hit the wall and was then hit himself by another bike. Moon had the wind, knocked out of him, but was unhurt in the six bike accident. The bikes will be back at Trojan Speedway next week with the big 250 TT 50 lapper race to take place.
