BARCELONA, SPAIN April 12, 1970Joel Robert rode his factory SuzuJd into
the winner's circle Sunday, w1nn1ng the
Spanish Grand Prix, and taId.ng the 250cc
lead in the world championship motocross series.
Suzuki teammate, Sylvain Gebers, was
second, as the Japanese factory riders
brought an end to the total dominance of
the sport by European manufacturers.
The factory's other rider, Sweden's
OUe Pettersson, managed a creditable
seventh place.
Tersten Hallman (Hus), the 30 year
old four lime world champion, led for
most of the 45 minute race,andremarked afterwards: "The SuzuJds were really
good. Joel gained ten yards on me every
lime we went up the main hill, and it's
just imposs ible to pull back ground
like that."
