In most cases, if a person 15 an avid, ardent enthusiast about a sport, they particIpate. But, In Bovey's case it 15 physIcally impossible. "I spent eIght and a half months completely parallzed in the hOSPItal," he recalls. The husky youngster has part1ally recovered and now waIks with the aid of two heavY black canes. But, he can't rIde motorcycles. The racIng cycle, purchased through a Great Falls dealer, started out as a Trfurnph Bonnev1l1e. It was completely reworked. The cylinder head was sent to CalifornIa where the spark plug was relocated on top, making It a complete liernispertcal head. A sp ecial racing mag neto and camshaft was Ins talled and several other " goodies" added to pep uP the power. " It' s a 650cc mach1ne, .weighing 285pounds, turning out 75 horsepower, which gives a tremendous power to weight ratio," says Rob Slack of Slack 's Cycle Sales where the bIke was built.
