HUNTINGTON BEACH, CAL. Nov. 16,
1969 - After two days of rain it was a
relief to see the sun come out and create
a great day for racing at the Huntington
Beach Cycle Park motocross course.
The rain had Its effect however and the
long mud hole that was Intended to be
slick was wet and slick on race day. A
deep pool had formed at one corner and
the path around It was lined with foot
deep ruts. other parts of the course had
been changed since the last motocross
and Interest was kept high by addition
of new features.
In the 125cc Junior class, Don Emler
was the show of the day. He had lost fire
in his engine in the first moto and had a
DNF for It. But in the second one, he
really got with It and fInIshed at least
half a lap ahead of the second place man.
. Don really had the crowd wonderinghe had a full coverage helmet and also
also was wearing his girl friend's $90
wig. Everybody was commenting on the
girl that was riding uP a storm and beat-
