The 250cc Short Track events were the most balr raising viewed by this reporter in some time. Randy Ellls, on a Bultaco and Jim Raymond on a Montesa dueled each other throughout the evening as though each race meant the deciding factor in a Championship title. Entries in the 125cc Class, T.T. and Short Track were so competitive and close matched that no one rider or maJce cycle held a dominating position. The I25cc T. T. Trophy Dash was won by Mike Payse on a Bultaco, who also put up a tremendous battle in the MaIn, but had to settle for a second to Ray Vanderpool on a Yamaha.
