Three of the events will be held at Saddleback and the other halt at Carlsbad. Class winners will receive six points tor each class win but cannot earn more than six points per day. The CMC laid out a completely new course, and many thought it was the best yet at SBddleback. It was quite muddy at first, but an extra long practice session helPed put things In shape. Lars was able to take the lead from Tom and hold I t In the last moto, but Tom's second earned him the 125cc class win. As the 250cc Senior class roared up the hill from the start, it was C Z mounted Tim Hart out front followed by Bill Silverthorn (Husky), Lars Larsson (Husky) and Gary Balley (Greeves). On lap three Bailey was Qut front with Larsson runntng second. They passed the !lag In 1hBt order. Larsson was again on top In the 500cc Sr. class. tre:lJld Greeves mounted .Bm Wilson did some lead swapping In the !lrst moto, ut Larsson won It. On the second leg, Malco mounted Preston Petty and Larsson had a whale of a race for the !lag, and Preston nosed him out. Even with the late start, the CMC ran things so smoothly that It was all OYer before six o'clock, and those who won SIX points were on their way home dreaming of that trip to Europe.
