Raceway Opens
Flat track motorcycle races returned
to SacramentQEaceway on Sunday, March
23. Fort Sutter and Sacramento Trackers motorcycle clubs will present 26
races from March through OCtober. The
next races are scheduled tor March 30th
and Sunday. April 6th. Regular Saturday
night races will begin In May.
Plans to develop a shorter, cushion
track inside of last year's 1/5 mile oval
were hampered by the weather and so
the 1nIt1a1 races will be run on the larger
track. Work Is underway and the shorter
trad< should be ready by the May events.
Sunday's races wtll be bonoring Enclna
High. Cordova High. La Sierra High. and
Bella Vista High schools. Student body
cards from these high schools will allow
the students to enter the races for half
price. Sacramento Raceway Is located on
Excelsior Road between the Jacl
