I received the official word concerning
all AHRA national events for this year.
The following is the letter
"Dear Mr. Zeman: We made the decision to eliminate motorcycles for our
Big Six Championships this year because
of the support we got last year. This lack
of support was from both participant and
manufacturer. Also, we were unable to
obtain qualified personnel to help in
classifying and running off the eliminations.
This year we are running the same
eliminations at all six Championships in
order to help the major sponsors develop
a more effective participation program
so we felt that until we were able to get
the suPport needed we would not run
motorcycles at 0 u r Championships.
Thank you for your letter and if 1 can be
of any help please write Don Worsley
