It seems that a rather large pack of Hell's Angels types had decided to fester In the village 01 Elsinore for the weekend an d rumor s s pread that they were planning to bes tow thei r pungent presence on the nearby scrambles. When a somewhat apprehensive attendant saw a string of bik e headli ghts slowly a pproa chin g, the wor d went out 'a nd Invasion jitter s caused a group of l egitimate, innocent asphalt arabs to be met a t the ga te by a phalanx of Ir a te riders and pltmen ben t on enforcing th e unwe lcom e ma t. Afte r Iden tities were established and apo logfe sextended, the r iders wer e wel comed and en joyed an evening of great r ac ing. He won the 100 Expe rt Maln , too k s ec ond in the 250 Expe r t Main, thi rd tn the 500 Expert event, an d the n topped oIf the even ing bY winning the Sweepstakes trophy. D. Le nar's Victor proved to have the power edge over Vanderpool'S 350 Ya maha as he won each of his motos with a train l ength lead, an d J, Wes t took the hotly contes ted 2 50 Expert Main. J , Spr ague garnered Ope n Expe r t honors on moto points after first race win ner T . Simpson unloaded super hard In the back hairpin and relnjured a s hould er. T .
