Morgan, Moon Move up in Junior 11 Mashburn Moves By Mike Capal1te SOUTIi GATE, Cal., Sept. 5 - Both wi nners In the 100cc and 250cc Junior classes In th e TT program at Trojan Raceway Thursday night enjoyed their last ride as Juniors as they have garnered enough points to move into the Seni or class. In the l OOcc class, Jack Mo rgan (Hodaka) put on a tremendous charge In th e MaIn Event to fini sh ahead of David Ham ( Bridges tone) who Is very close to rnovIng into the Senior class himself. Third place finisher Mark Blackwell (Yamaha) Is showing a lot ot promise and back alter a long absence was fourth place Dan Ney ( Hodaka). of action that wUI be- coming up on Tuesday nights . Actually 1t wUI probably be even more spectacular as th e Class A rules allow the use of t uel and this wU1 give the 250' s a definite Incr ease In horsepower . The 250cc Junior Class In the Short Track was won by Loyal Penn (Bultaco) who Is also maldng good time around the oval and should be one of the top contenders In the Class A as he t1ntshed ahead of sec ond and third place men lrw1n Moon ( Bultaco) and Larry Shoemaker ( Bultaco). Remember th e Trojan schedule: on Tu esday night, 250cc Class A; on Thursday night, lOOcc and 250cc Spo rtsman IT and lOOcc Sportsman Short Track. See you there. Gary again proved triumphant In the 250cc Senior IT as he pushed hts Ni cholson- sponsored Greeves to tlle checkered tlag to further his record as high point man. The 250cc Junior IT was a little nip and tuck fo r a while tor irwin Moon, who only needed two more points to move him into the Senio r class . As he pushed his Bultaco up into th e l ead, It was evident that he was going to make It and he cr ossed the line ahead of second place man Larry Shoemaker ( Yamaha) and Rober t Millner (Bultaco) . In the 100cc Junior Short TracJc, Mark Blackwell (Yamaha) made a very good showing; in tact, 1t really looked like. this was his bag as he took the win over second place man Vincent Graves ( Hoda..ka) while third and tourth places went to Lloyd Qulntard (Yamaha) and Ralph Carpenter (Hodaka) . The entries In the 250cc Short Track events were Intormed that this would be the last Thursday night that the 250's would run as ' starting on Tuesday, September 10, they would be racing on a night of their own and running t or 40% of ~ ....
