The l00cc Trophy rash saw Dan Hazel (Ya maha) get one at his jack-rabbit starts ott the line, grab the lead and hold It to the finish line to receive his fir st Trophy rash win ot the season. Dan has been progress ing rapidly all season, and with his te r r ltlc talent fo r taking oft, he Is going to prove a tormldable opponent tor the top rider s . It was a s ha me that after a good showing In the Trophy rash he was to ha ve trouble In the Main Event and not tlnlsh In the running, but that's raci ng . range and dogged at Jim's rear wheel until he got his chance and then took the lead away from hi m . But J im was by no means accepting this as gospel. He r ode even harder and in the ne xt lap regained fir st place again and the n both ot them were r iding so hard they lett the rest ot the pack behind as It became a two- man duel. It went this way t1Il the last lap when Eddie made his tlnal bid and managed to grasp the lead a way t ram Jim an d co me across the victor .
