Legs, feet and elbows flew right and lett with Cancilla w1nn1ng the "match" In fifteen rounds and preserved his twoin-a-row wtn streak for the Spanish Montesa brand. Corder and Jamison took turns trying to knock Cancilla down and out but the cagey rider from San Jose kept right on ramming and racing his way to his first Main Event at Fresno. 250 Expert Flyers ~ ~ A really good-sized group of riders l>:I came to Elsinore on Saturday, December -J 9 to see one of the best wtnter sCr&mU >.. Olesen and Tom Warren really battled It out for class hoIlors. 10 one mota, it looked as If Olesen and Edwards, both on Bultacos, wereequally determined and equally as able to keep ahead of the other guy as they switched the lead several times. F. Edwards saw pay dirt as he won e"'lry heat In this class, not without some trouble as Olesen kept the pressure on. pushing Fred hard all the way. Warren, however, was also in good lorm and showed Steve the way around at least once during the friendly wheel-to-wheel rivalry that kept everyone awake. Signing up as an Expert and putting on his usual good ride was Ray Vanderpool on that Yamaha again. The Novices were out In force and this class was more or less dominated by A.
