Instead of 8Ilort track nmning on Tuesday aipts and n races on Thursdays, both programs will run on TIlursday, providing the spectators with a chance to see both kinds of racing for one admission fee. However, go earlier nen week as racing will start at 7:30 p.m. instead of 8:00 to give more time for all the action. Warren Wins The Senior Main went to Tom Warren on a Loblto, rldiDg liIte he always does, nat out! Gary Bailey{hodaka) took second and AI Baker (Yamaha) third. Stan Rogers on a Honda was really in tIlere pitcbiDg but slid out on turn one wttll Baker on hts inside. He re-mOlDlted and beaded out after tIlein again manAging to end up wttb 6t1l over-all. In the 250 Mains, tile Junior went to Jim Connolly again, tb1s time on hts Greeves and tile senior to stan Rclgers on a PurSang. The Trophy r:.sh gold went to two lIOIl-malo winners to spread tbiDgs around a little. Steve SCott (Lobito) won the 100 and Lee stumpenhaus (Pursang) tile 25Occ. Tbe weekly Powder Putt Malo bad Hodakas first and second ridden by Kelly Struble and DIane Connolly, wltIl only four girls mAldng the scene tb1s week. Warren went on to also win tile 100 Trophy Dash. The 250 Main saw Bill Fultoo (Bultaco) really getting tile rest of tile gang ott tile line but It waBn't long before Lee stumpenhaus and stan Rclgers on two more Buls got him,foUowedbyGreevesrider Jim Connolly, wtth stumpeDbaus eventually taking the win wttll a nice lead built UP. Connolly walked ott wttll tile Trophy Dash. So tile "tally" for tile evening amounted to tbree wins each for Connolly and Warren and two for Lee Stumpenhaus. (Results on page 16) R. Burkert and father were out on thts night again as tIley usual1yare. Rusty got a third In b1s class on a 200 Bultaco tbat has been raced tbree times since Rusty has owned it. J. Hart got second on a 441 he's only raced a couple of times. COII8E!DSUS has it tile night point run on OCtober 7 by the Grip8ters w1U be a great success and I agree.
