(250 CC PRODUCTION CLASS) Last year's winning Bonneville combination - Don Blessing and the Suzuki X-6 Hustler - won again this year as they established two new world records. In consecutive days Don rode his stock frame X,6 Hustler to a new 250cc Partial Streamline class world speed record of 128.182 mph and a new 250cc production class world record of 125.121. As a novice rider last year Blessing blasted through the measured mile for an average of 107 mph and a new record. With a year's seasoning he brought his Suzuki X-6 back to better his own time by more than 17 mph and, with a partial fairing added, rode the same X-6 Hustler to championship in the Partial Streamline class as well. This year Suzuki tried for two records. They got them both. Both were achieved with ordinary gasoline. Both were won on an X-6 with a stock frame, and both were won with an engine tuned to readily available factory service bulletin number 23. And both records prove this point. A well tuned stock Suzuki X-6 Hustler is number one in the 250cc field. See for yourself. You can solo a winner too ... right from the showroom. Solo the Suzuki X-6 Hustler.
