Five hundred and forty five riders performed for the benefit of the Cerebral Palsy charity at the salinas, California Fairgrounds last Sunday. All
proceeds of the annual event went to the afflicted kids. Five thousand, seven
hundred and eighty-four spectators paid at the gate plus 1,800 soldiers from
the nearby Army base. A trailbike was won by Gene Martin. Officials who
cooperated with the salinas Elks included Referees Bobby Parker and Bob
Day, Starter Dickie Dolan, Flag Chief George Hignall and. announcer Tom
"Lefty" Miyahiga. The cerebral palsy kids were represented by little miss
Rosemay SChinnon.
