Running for two days, this weekend. will be the annual District 37sponsored event and this year it's a Grand Prix. using part of the Bay Mare track plus extra terrain. Desert and scrambles riders will run together in one hour long races and we'U bet our bottom dollar that that will create some real action when the top riders in each category meet, added to the fact that the scrambles brigade aren't used to riding for that length of time! Points will be paid whether you are a desert rider or a scrambler according to your finishing position so it's a chance fO{ some extra points while findi ng out how the other half of the District goes. As the bikes will consist of both desert and scrambles rigs, the rule of ball-end levers and folding foot pegs has been waived for the two days. Lightweights will run on saturday. big bikes on Sunday. After Saturday's races are over. there'll be an Amateur Talent Show in the campgrounds with cash prizes running from 7 'til 9, so if you can do anything entertaining, sign up! But e'l(en if you can't. it'll be a ball finding out that some guy you've known for years on the track can play the banjo or sing like a nightingale. Following the 'show, you still won't want to find that sleeping bag because then the live band tunes up and you can dance until 2 o'clock with the concession stand open until that time. SO'••.if you want a real weekend of fun inclUding some good challeng· ing riding. we'll see you at Bay Mare! Limed from 3 miles west of Moorpart on Hwy. 118. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14th begins at 8.
