This time aroond all three won their respective heat races. Haaby now has nine in a row. to remain the only undefeated Expert in the five lap warm-ups. Jones kept his streak going in the Trophy Dash, and for the fourth straight week. came up as the winner over Lacher. Haaby and Tanner. For the second week in a row, Phil Todd gave Odom early lap pressures but it was Odom at the finish with running room. Point leader Jan Cra wford finished third. Dave Smith remained undefeated in Novice heat racing but the point leader suffered his first spill of the year - in practice. and ran last in the Final. This gave his main competition. Rick Ellisarraras. a clear shot at another main event win and tightened the Novice standings closer than ever before. Lead Swapping Record The 15 lap feature again topped anything that had been presented this year. Lacher jumped to an early lead with Jones and Haaby right behind. The front running three soon left the remaining seven riders far back to fight it out for fourth. All three took t urns leading the final and the battle was torrid from start to finish with the read changing hands FIFTEEN TIMES before Jones was declared the winner over Haaby by the margin of two lengths!!
