Many fathers (aud sons) forsook the family home and heuth to
pursue one another around the Maltby TT track on this Father's Day,
JUDe 18th.

Poetry in Motion
The outstanding rider of the day
had to be 17 year old Jerry Robinson
on his white Bultaco and dressed in
all white leathers. Watching thi s
young star, a 2-year veteran, is
watching poetry in motion. As of
this date. he is one of the most respected and well liked riders in the
game. In another year, there will be
many a seasoned racer watching
that number T61 from behind. Jerry
is a native of Shelton and, like the
timber around that country. grows
tall - 6 ft. 2 inches so far. Watch
this growing boy.
Trek to Maltby
The small attendance figure must
the crow ds and riders have been increasing steadily since this great
track opened ten weeks ago. Riders
from British Columbia. 100 miles to
the North, and from Tacoma, 50 miles
to the SOuth. are beginning to appear. There is every indication this
number will increase as word of the
track spreads. Small newspaper
coverage is beginning to appear, as
well as spot announcements on the
radio. This must be construed as a
step in the right direction after the
years of motorcycling blackout in
the Northwest. Cycle News coverage
also has been one of the major factors in this success.
