Main. Fulton edged past the trio of
Pohland. Browning. and Laux. and
set out after Muir who bas executed
a -scaled-cat- start to open a block
lead after three laps. Fulton drafted
Muir for three laps to move ahead on
Lap #10 in the right bander. Lap
times approached 60 mph. almost 6
mph faster than last year. Fulton
and Muir were going like smoke on
the slick course, lapping most of
the 29 starters.
On Lap 11. Jim Browning, Evansville. Indiana, (Honda) running 3rd
missed a downshift and high-sided
through the Warehouse Road intersection. Pohland. Milwaukee (H-D)
and Laux. Appleton. Wisc. (Ducati)
slipped past. Browning remounted to
finisb 5th..
