We fished at the same place were 1 caught the ba.ss yesterday. I caught 2 small mouth aod 2 large mouth bas . Mark caught a III.ss and I took the hook out for bi.m. I was bolding his fish when IllY rod dipped in the water. I quickly tbrew Marks fish down aod grabbed IllY rod. I didn't get the fish that struck. I looked up at Mark and be had a surprized look on his face aod asked me wby in hell did I tbrow his bass III.ck in the lake. I told him I didn't know. Iris told uS she got a job lined up for us on a [arm and that "We should go down and talk to the guy. we drove down to his farm he was outside with his wife hoeing. He talked to us [0[ a while and asked how much we wanted Mark said a dollar an hour and he said alright. We were to be there at 8:00 or so but not too early tomorrow morning. JUDe I, 1963 - bt.ru, We went down to the farm. We helped Mr. Turk put up his workshop wall it was made out of bricks. We were surprised to find out tbat they feed us lunch here. Mr. and Mrs. Turk are real nice people. They are fixing up there farm now because he is going to retire soon. Their daughter who is 19 is a horse nut. She's also about as big as a horse. The [arm is about a half mile off the road and they have a small house which is real sanitary. Almost ran out o[ gas coming home after supper Mark, Sam& I went down to Clark Lake and fished till Dark. We didn't get a darn thing. June 2, 1963 - Sunday Mark and I went down to the lake to try and catch some of them big old bass. We trolled all over the lake. One place where there were a lot of people swimming I decided to go ashore and look around. As soon as we hit shore some old man asked us for our membership careL He said this is a private joint. We left, purty pissed off too. SOom people think they own the whole world. we came home about 5:00 that all I can remember. June 3, 1963 - Monday we went down to the farm, when we got there Mrs - whatersname as ked us if we had breakfast. We said yes. We went back to the place where were to put in the fence posts. Before we got there we were almost eaten alive by mosquittoes. I went back for the repelIant. We finished all the post holes before noon. Mr. Turk thought it would have taken us all day. Had hamburgers for lunch and a german choclate cake. While we listened to 01 Moose talk about her horses. After lunch we dug a big hole which we later put in a post which is going to be used as a gate pas t. Mr. Turk came home. He invited us to stay [or dinner. We had ham. taters and a choclate cream pie. (To be Continued) . As you can see. we have held nonAMA races, and intend to continue to provide races. regardless of who it takes to get sanctions.
